Effio Miguel Ruiz (Lima, 1977) studied Administration at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He was a finalist at the XII Biennial Story "Cope Award 2002" with the text "Copyright." It also has a dozen literary awards in competitions in the country. His first book, The room suicide, won an honorable mention in the V National Short Story Competition 2004 of the Peruvian-Japanese Association. His stories have been included on compilations Damn my love. Tales and stories of love (Sign Three Editorial, Lima, 2002), Meeting new writers (Universidad Científica del Sur, Lima, 2004), "Rosewood Guitar" and the stories of winners and finalists "Cope Award 2002 " (Cope Ediciones, Lima, 2005), Dissidents: Sample of the new Peruvian narrative (Revuelta editors 2007), were born to lose.
